How does the shopping cart system work?

I can best show you how the cart works by using a hypothetical example. Larry, who is new to PayPal, is going to purchase several items from my website:

What Larry Sees:

Step 1: Larry goes to my online store and presses the “Add to Cart” button on an item he wishes to buy. Larry continues with a second, third, etc., item, until he has chosen all of the items he wants. He then presses the “View Cart” button.

Step 2: Larry looks at the contents of his cart, is satisfied with his choices, and presses the “Checkout” button.

Step 3: Larry is taken to a PayPal Payment Details page which shows the items he has added to his Cart.

Step 4: Larry is prompted to login to his PayPal account. But as he is not already a PayPal member, he follows the registration instructions at the top of the screen.

Step 5: Larry is then prompted to enter his credit card information, email address, and password, creating his new PayPal account in order to pay for his purchase.

Step 6: Larry is taken to a Confirmation page where he sees the details of his successful payment. He is also given my customer service email.

Step 7: Larry subsequently receives an email receipt for this transaction, confirming payment and including a copy of the Payment details.

I would rather not use my credit card. Is their another way to pay?

You may send a check or money order to me by using the form pointed to by the "(non-credit card orders)" link located at the top of the storefront page. Clicking on that link will take you to a mail-in order form for that item which you can fill in, print out, and mail to me.

What credit cards do we accept?

PayPal accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express* Members in the UK may also use Switch or Solo cards with their PayPal accounts.

* Please note that American Express has decided to decline credit card transactions in which an American Express Corporate Card is used with PayPal. At this time, attempts to register or use an American Express Corporate Card in conjunction with PayPal will be declined.

Can you tell me a little more about online shopping and security in general?

Our credit card transactions are all performed on Paypal's secure servers. This means that a complex set of digital "keys" are applied to, and encryption processes performed on, your credit card data during a transaction. While your sensitive information is residing on their servers, it is placed behind a firewall. Absolutely none of your credit card information resides on our website at any time. Clicking the "add to cart" or "view cart" buttons immediately brings you away from Rising Sun Healing Center and directly behind the secure servers of PayPal.

Paypal password tip...

Be sure to write your Paypal username and password down and keep it in a place that is secure and that you will remember. Over time, we seem to accumulate a lot of these creatures, and it's very easy to get them mixed up.
