This exercise has been given to us by Mother Earth herself, who wishes to share this with those who feel guided to take an active role in healing our planet. This exercise is especially important for people who, although would like to take a stronger role, maybe unable to do so for whatever reason. This simple visualization is something anyone can do.

Mother EarthIt is recommended that we do this once a day. There are suggestions for when and where, but what is really important is that we just do this.

Instructions: Read over the following script before beginning. Once you become familiar with it, you won’t need the script. This meditation is ideal to do outdoors, but just as effective indoors as well. Some people will find this a great addition to their morning meditation, while others will choose evenings. Time of day doesn’t matter.

Find a space that is quiet and where you will be undisturbed. Choose a comfortable sitting or standing position.

Close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Allow yourself to take deep, relaxing breaths. Breathe in peaceful loving energy and breathe out any stress or tensions you might be holding on to.

Now, visualize a shower of pure white light from the Creator, gently raining down upon your entire being. This beautiful Light pours through you and saturates your being with love and contentment. It is the energy of unconditional love, it is the essence of your being and the essence of the entire universe. Allow this energy to pour into you and radiate out from you.

With your arms hanging loose and relaxed at your sides, turn the palms of your hands down to be parallel with the Earth under your feet. Stay in this position for a moment and bring your awareness into your palms. You may notice a tingling or warming sensation as you observe this.

Now, imagine that you are bringing the Light of unconditional love from the top of your head, through your crown chakra, down into your body, down your arms and let it pour into the Earth from your palms.

Allow yourself to be a channel of the Light to our Mother Earth, the planet we call home. We can act as healers. As the Light flows through your hands, think about all that the Earth gives you. Meditate on all of the things you are grateful for in your life. With that deep sense of gratitude, you are able to give something back to the Earth. By setting the intention of giving back, of being in gratitude, you release the energy of the healing Light to do it’s work for planet Earth.

The Light will be used in whatever way is for the highest good of our planet. We, as individuals cannot know the highest good for all, so we ask that the Light be used for the highest good, whatever that may be.

Allow this process to continue for however long you feel is right. You may feel led to speak some words of gratitude or blessing to the Earth, so let that flow from your heart. Once you feel that it is complete, relax your hands again. Continue breathing deeply and notice any sensations, thoughts or feelings that come to you.

Now, allow Mother Earth to reciprocate by extending Her energies to you. You may feel a warm blanket of golden amber energy rising up from the ground around your feet. This blanket of comforting, warm energy surrounds your body. It is like a mother’s hug to you. It is grounding and healing for you. You may carry this blanket of warmth and love with you throughout the day.

When you are ready, bring your awareness back to your physical surroundings. Open your eyes slowly and stretch your arms and legs.

It is complete.
